just watched Pearl Harbour and once again the same sickening cliches and sugar sweet apple pie speeches……..acts of daring complete with American best buddy scenes and over the top patriotism……..the scripts are so bad and the whole movie seems to try and persuade the viewer that the usa is the land of perfect people with pretty faces………….what do americans think of these movies?………..i have every respect for the men that fought in these wars but the way hollywood portrays it all makes me puke..your views please

i just watched pearl harbour too it had the potential to be a good film if they had made it a straight war film instead of all the lovey dovey crap they threw at it! there are some good war movies though like black hawk down and tears of the sun although they both envolve the african conflicts
