Life On The Line: The Sustainable Energy Future

With an unparalleled military strength and substantial economic power in the hands of their companies, the U.S. is probably the most powerful and influential country in the world. As such, it has serious options to move forward, in fact, is the most important crossing of Americans have faced since fascism in the world threatened the world in the 1940's.

Are the United States boldly lead the world toward sustainable energy, new careers while allowing green work to revive the middle class itself, or retire, they become a third world banana republic ruled by an aristocracy hyper-rich with a majority of the poor, the choking smoke of oil and coal and enslaved by the Royal House of Saud?

There are many pieces of voice, which claims to be "conservative" and "loyal patriots" are corporatists that are faithful with money, even when that money is the Chinese yuan, or SAR, and reject the benefits of solar energy. They insist that there is no viable alternative to oil and coal, renewable energy is an illusion, and it would be very happy see green careers committed to China and India.

While the current administration could certainly be more aggressive in moving toward green technology and sustainable energy, the fact is that significant progress has been achieved under President Barack Obama in recent months, eighteen years. And if you have a Congress ready to work with him and an audience that is willing to apply pressure, much more progress in renewable energy technology will be made.

On the other hand, if the opposition party returned to power, while government support for progress in this area is likely to come to a halt, and the United States will remain a "petro-addicted."

It is true that solar technology is a part of a program of energy development in general, which eventually include wind, geothermal and biofuel sources such as algae, switchgrass and hemp. However, the importance of this type of renewable energy both for the planet and the U.S. economy can not be overestimated.

First, the "grid parity" – the point where the cost of electricity produced solar energy is competitive with that generated by coal and oil – most likely be reached in 2020 or earlier. During the coming decades, these facilities, many of which are installed in individual houses and buildings, pay for themselves, the cost of solar electricity will be reduced to zero. At this stage, possibility that this clean and tell our grandchildren and great grandchildren are wonderful to behold.

In the immediate future, however, this technology allows race green. Even those who fiercely oppose the current government can not help but notice that there is almost nothing to the U.S. more. Most of this can be put at the feet of 30 years Republican "trickle down economic policy that has allowed companies to close plants and ships paying jobs in the middle class in countries like China and India, where people work, either by choice or by force, for pennies an hour.

Be sure to consider these issues when voting on sustainable energy November and every election cycle to come.
